The 3rd Annual U.S.M. Knap-In

Volunteer at the knap-in

We want to make this the best Knap-In ever, and we would love your help to do that!  You do not need to have any special skills or be familiar with any of the techniques that we are presenting (although, it would be great if you did).  Anyone able to give a little of their time in any capacity will be appreciated.

We have a variety of opportunities available, involving various activities throughout the day.  Just let us know what you would like to do, and we'll get you started.

The following is a list of areas where we could use assistance.  Please CLICK HERE to send us an email and let us know you would like to help out at the Knap-In!

Flintnapping:
Even if you don't have skills, we would love to have you help out.  We can use three to five people to just keep an eye on the room, the participants, and make sure everyone is following the rules.
Atlatl Range:
Safety is the primary goal.  Using an atlatl is a very safe activity, as long as the rules are observed.  We would benefit from having two to four volunteers to oversee the range and ensure that everyone participating has signed their waiver.
General Volunteers:
We do have a good number of students helping with the events of the day, but everyone needs a break sometimes.  Having some extra help would give us all a chance to take a breather and switch activities for a while so we get to experience the fun side, too!
Donations:
Money sure is helpful, but we would also appreciate donations in the form of gift certificates or items for raffles.  Some relationship to the theme of the event would be preferred, such as the equipment rental certificate that we received from Eastern Mountain Sports in Portland. Feel free to ask if you're not sure about what we can use.  Thank you!
